Samsung Opens Virtual Reality Store in Decentraland and has begun its own virtual reality project with the opening of a new virtual store.
The new Samsung 837X store is available to the public for a limited time. It’s modeled after their flagship 837X store in New York and can be accessed via the company’s app.
Decentraland users will be invited to explore a playground and complete missions where they’ll gain rewards in the form of non-fungible tokens.

One of the big parts of the metaverse is to have three different areas. You’ll be able to explore all sorts of different settings, so it makes for a great experience. The Connectivity Theater (which showcases news from Samsung’s stage at CES 2022), the Sustainability Forest, which comprises a “journey through millions of trees” to mark the company’s sustainability initiatives, and the Customization Stage.
The latter will have DJ Gamma Vibes hosting a live in-metaverse dance party at the 837X store with NFT badge holders entered into a raffle for Samsung branded items.
“The metaverse empowers us to transcend physical and spatial limits to create unique virtual experiences that couldn’t happen otherwise,” said Michelle Crossan-Matos, SVP at Samsung

The company has announced its expansion plans following the successful launch of 837X in Decentraland. They are looking forward to bringing it to other virtual platforms.
The Korean phone maker has joined a number of brands that have gone into the metaverse, a persistent virtual world in which the users interact via their avatars
It is not just smaller, independent brands that are looking into or have already embraced NFTs. Some of the world’s most well-known enterprises have been buying up NFTs and large corporations like Nike and Adidas have filed trademark requests for them.
Facebook announced they will be renamed as Meta and become a metaverse. They also announced that the company “has largely been about being Facebook first and now we’re shifting to be more about being metaverse first.”
Samsung has had a head start with crypto and blockchain because its flagship Galaxy models have included a blockchain wallet, Samsung, who added support for crypto wallets last year, announced this week that their 2022 line of smart TVs will come with support for new-fangled.
