What is Basic Attention Token BAT?
Basic Attention Token BAT is an Ethereum blockchain-based platform utility token for the digital advertising industry, with a motive to create an ecosystem where publishers and users will get paid for their content and attention respectively.
BAT improves the efficiency of digital advertising space by using the Brave browser that tracks the user browsing activities anonymously without breaching their privacy, provides advertisers more targeted response, and rewards publishers with BATS token.
Basic Attention Token uses the Brave browser to provide its users with a privacy-focused, secure web browsing experience while blocking and tracking the ads that try to access user information. The BAT system provides:
Users: strong privacy and security when viewing advertisements, improved relevance and performance, and a share of tokens.
Publishers: improved revenue, better reporting, and less fraud.
Advertisers: less expensive customer attention, less fraud, and better attribution.
BAT also has a payment system that rewards and protects the user while giving better conversion to advertisers and higher yield to publishers.
What is the problem Basic Attention Token BAT trying to solve?
Digital advertising space is broken as it is filled with fraudsters and middlemen that are hurting all three basic entities (users, publishers, advertisers) of the digital advertising market.
Users: privacy and security of users often get breach when viewing advertisements, the user often force to view irrelevant and annoying ads
Publishers: gets less revenue
Advertisers: pays more and get less user attention
Basic Attention Token BAT is trying to solve the problems of these entities by creating an ecosystem for digital advertising where user privacy is maintained while delivering relevant ads, an increase in publishers revenue, and better-performing ads for the advertisers.
To achieve these goals, a new privacy-focused browser Brave has been created that blocks third-party ads and trackers and uses a blockchain-based ledger system to measures user attention and reward publishers accordingly.
Brave uses BAT (Basic Attention Token), a token for a decentralized ad exchange. It compensates the browser user for their attention while protecting privacy.
